Ground Protection & Access Mats

COST COMPARISON

A single sheet of plywood is $40 + Assuming an average useful lifetime of one month and a single crew uses 4 sheets at a time this is a cost comparison between plywood sheets and our URUBIDE composite ground protection mats:

PLYWOOD

12 months x 4 sheets per month = 48 sheets per year

48 sheets x $40 per sheet = $1,920

7 years (average life of our URUBIDE access mats)

x $1,920 per year = $13,440

URUBIDE Composite Ground Protection Mats

4 sheets x $350 per sheet (as of January 2019)

= $1,400 Total Mat Cost Over 7 Years

Total savings = $12,040 !!
Ground protection mats, access mats, heavy-duty composite mats made from URUBIDE. Light in weight, but heavy duty, the secret is the URUBIDE composite material. Rated for up to 150 tons of load. Our mats are designed to bend but not break and, depending on the terrain, can withstand up to a 150 ton load. Each of these mats measures 4'x8'x1/2" and weighs just 70 lbs. They are tough, flexible, durable, and affordable.
Ground Protection Mats will save you thousands of dollars versus plywood. Let's be frank...This estimate is on the conservative side. We all know plywood is lucky to last more than a week or two on most construction sites. That alone doubles the above plywood cost and we haven't even mentioned the cost of driving back and forth to replace it (that's labor and fuel) and the hassle of disposal. Now multiply that number by the number of crews you have and the savings is enormous. By the time you account for 3-4 work crews, the actual usage rate of plywood, plus time and fuel you are looking at spending $40,000-$50,000 on plywood over that time period. Those same 3-4 crews would spend between $2,100-$2,800 by using our composite mats.
